      License Type is for Hybrid Siemens Xcelerator as a Service.

      How Do I Know If My License Type is for Hybrid Siemens Xcelerator as a Service??

      DETAILS:

      In order for 'Opcenter APS  Teamcenter Share' or 'Opcenter APS Anywhere - Viewer' features to function on the Opcenter APS Desktop application, it is necessary for the Opcenter APS that is being launched to use a license which has been setup as a hybrid Siemens Xcelerator as a Service license. It is not obvious, however, which license should be selected from the Opcenter APS (Network) License Utility if you have a mixture of non-Siemens Xcelerator as a Service licenses and Siemens Xcelerator as a Service licenses.

      Solution :

      In order to determine which license is a hybrid Siemens Xcelerator as a Service license, please follow the steps outlined below.

      1. If you have the email with the Opcenter APS License Activation Codes, the Product name will detail if the license includes the Siemens Xcelerator as a Service license feature. For example:

      If you see 'XSaaS' or 'Share' text for the Product, then the license type is hybrid Siemens Xcelerator as a Service, and this will be the license that you should be using when launching Opcenter APS in order to use the Teamcenter Share or APS Anywhere - Viewer features.

      2. Another way that you can determine which license to use is to launch the appropriate license utility (local License Utility for node locked licenses, Network License Utility for floating licenses).

      3. After loading the appropriate License Utility, right-click on the title bar of the dialog that loads, and choose 'Advanced details...' from the pop up menu.

      4. The Advanced Details dialog will appear showing exactly what features are on what license. Copy and paste the entire text from the window into a text editor, such as Notepad and making sure that the mouse cursor is at the top of the file, search for the word 'share'.

      5. If a share (hybrid Siemens Xcelerator as a Service) license is present, it will be located as shown below.

      As shown in the picture above, the Product ID: NAME will include the word Share. The license number is shown next to the SN=

      Notes

      The Teamcenter Share product is available with Siemens Xcelerator as a Service license subscriptions only.
